Do you know the matters needing attention in customs declaration of international freight forwarders?

As we all know, customs declaration is an operation for any goods transported abroad. As we all know, the customs declaration work is closely related to those who are engaged in the international freight forwarding industry. For some new members of the international freight forwarding industry, it is possible that they do not have a special understanding of the matters needing attention in customs declaration. Here is a brief description of the matters needing attention in customs declaration as an international freight forwarder.

First of all, as an international freight forwarder, it is necessary to know the information needed for customs declaration of frequently exported goods. For example: those requiring commodity inspection, quota, license, certificate of origin, trademark authorization and brand name, those requiring export value of more than $100,000 in Hong Kong, and those requiring export value of more than $500,000 in other areas, should provide the bill of settlement (copy) and the price stamp of the Chamber of Commerce for verification. Second, as an international freight forwarder, it is necessary to fill in the correct ship name, voyage, bill of lading number, corresponding packing list, invoice, gross net weight, number of pieces, packing type, amount and volume to ensure the validity of the customs declaration. Thirdly, as an international freight forwarder, we should pay attention to displaying the "Chinese name" of the goods where the declaration form is located, consulting the commodity code according to the customs code, checking whether the two are in conformity, determining the measurement unit according to the code, and consulting the lack of customs declaration requirements according to the supervision conditions listed by the customs. Fourthly, as an international freight forwarder, we also prepare customs declaration proxy, customs declaration form, manual, invoice, packing list, cancellation list, cargo return list (after the fifth of the ten-fold list), change list (if necessary) and other required information to clear customs on the day before customs closure. Fifthly, as an international freight forwarder, it is necessary to track the receipt of the yard and station in time to ensure the stowage on board the ship. Sixth, as an international freight forwarder, if there is a situation of customs clearance and reallocation, and if there is a next voyage, the shipping still needs these documents (such as license, quota, commodity inspection, animal and plant inspection, etc.), the notification of customs clearance and reallocation should be changed to arrive one week ahead of the time of the deployment, so as to facilitate the smooth withdrawal of documents and information by the Transport Department. And reuse the data. If the notice is not in place, it will only cause the trouble of delaying the ship's time, which is not conducive to the smooth customs clearance of the goods. Therefore, for those engaged in international freight forwarding industry, special attention should be paid to these problems when customs declaration is made.

Above is what we share today. Do you remember the points that international forwarders should pay attention to when they declare customs?
