APL's strong position in the Pacific is evident, with cargo volume in Asia and North America increasing by 34% in the first quarter of 2017. APL's market share in the Trans-Pacific region also rose from 5.2% in the first quarter of 2016 to 6.7% in the first quarter of 2017.
