I just watched this morning's (April 10) 6 AM CCTV news: Iran says it's going to "take charge" of the Strait of Hormuz — that critical oil shipping lane. Since Israel is still hitting Lebanon, Iran says no ceasefire, no negotiations. Trump told Israel to "tone it down," but they're not listening — they're pushing full steam ahead.


Bottom line: That stretch of water in the Middle East is about to get rocky.


If you've got shipments heading to or passing through that region, keep this on your radar: freight rates could spike, vessels could get delayed — or even stuck. For any Middle East orders, don't overpromise. Leave some wiggle room in your quotes and delivery commitments, and make sure to mention "the unstable situation" upfront.
